Parents have to take time to understand why children act as they do. Most kids learn behavior from imitating their parents or whom ever they are in contact with the most.
STEP 1 – Problem Temper Tantrums, reason: a child is frustrated or loses self-control.
STEP 2 – Always make sure your child is safe from possible injury. If they are like my kids, they will flop down anywhere. You don’t want to spend your Saturday in the ER getting stitches.
STEP 3 – Temper Tantrums is a problem that you can ignore. Let your child know you’ll respond when he/she calms down. My son would throw a tantrum and he knew I would respond on the first fit.
When I didn’t he stopped in looked and when I did look at him. The little fella would fall again. When I totally ignored him. He would get up on his own and come in try to hug or kiss me.(Attention Tantrums)
STEP 4 – Pay attention to how tantrums start, and help your child avoid them in the future. My son would throw a tantrum every time his toy would not stay together. His father drives trucks and he bought him a Tractor Trailer Truck and that trailers would not stay on the Semi for “nothing in the world.” When I notice the cause of the tantrum. I fixed it quick! I kindly out of love hid the toy! No more problem!
