If you’re not from America or Canada, have a good day ahead of you!

=========

RE: The Power of Communication

Okay, back to today’s email..

Just something thoughtful to share with you today.

I was driving my son to the other night enrichment class with the radio switched on. He was telling me what he did that afternoon but I wasn’t concentrating too much on what he was talking about because of the radio.

Suddenly, it struck my mind that I thought I should switch off the radio and concentrate. We had a short but wonderful chat and that made me understand that even a short journey with QUALITY time spent with my son can mean a lot.

A LOT.

One of our topic was about him playing computer games and I took this opportunity to educate him how virtual world can be different from the real world. I gave him an example of how it can be fun shooting and killing people in computer games but one will have to pay for the price of what he does if he choose to do it in a real world.

I also tell him about the danger of chat room and warn him not to give real information to stranger as it can be dangerous Although I am not sure how much he understand but I think I should start somewhere and do it as early as possible.

I guess we should always remind ourself to constantly communicate with our children whenever there is a chance so as to build up a good relationship with them and possibly to influence their thinking in future.

We only have ‘this’ much of time to spend with our children in our entire life. It’s purely up to us how we choose to spend it.

We’ve got a choice, ain’t we?

I’d like to hear from you and would really appreciate it if you could just pay my blog a visit and drop some comments on your thoughts.

Happy 4th of July again, !

Talk to you soon.

Regards,
Jamie Sullivan
